CONFIDENTIALITY

CONCERNED ABOUT CONFIDENTIALITY?

Confidentiality is a concern for most clients. Mediation and negotiations involve sensitive information. People trust us with sensitive information including trade secrets, physical and mental health issues even allegations or admissions of sexual or criminal indiscretions. Clients often tell us that they are sharing information for the first time that has never been discussed with other professionals, family members or even their spouse. Our confidentiality pledge is outlined in our client agreement.

Our reputation depends on our ability
to maintain our pledge of confidentiality.

We do not divulge client names or our involvement in a particular mediation, settlement amounts or outcomes without consent. Your business is your business. Some clients have no problem with information being more public, and actually send what they would like to say, with permission. We only discuss your situation with identified stakeholders or pre approved professionals who have agreed to have input in your situation.

"A personal injury client hired Bill and Wendy to prepare for and "coach" during mediation. After my opening statement the client strategically interjected a story that included photos. This was far from the traditional presentation; it came from the heart, yet was well rehearsed because she had practiced what to say and how. Without ever speaking to the mediator the "coaches" helped shift the balance, so we were in charge of the mediation session. What an asset."
